Overnight motorists on Highway 1 in the Malahat stretch will want to note some single-lane alternating traffic in 20-minute intervals tonight April 6 from 10 pm, into Thursday morning April 7 to 6 am.
That will impact the northbound traffic; there will be minor delays.
Crews will be resurfacing the northbound lane of Highway 1 between Finlayson Arm Road and Tunnel Hill. This is to catch up with repairs from damage caused during the floods in mid-November 2021.
As well, this afternoon there may be minor delays between 3 and 4 pm as crews mobilize equipment and traffic control cones are placed in the northbound lane.
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure asks drivers to drive according to conditions, obey traffic personnel and signs, and observe posted speed limits.
