A Lotto 6/49 ticket won big for Nanaimo resident Barbara Randall. She played the Extra in the March 16, 2022 draw and got lucky.
She bought the ticket at the Nanaimo North Town Centre and checked it at home using the BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC) Lotto! app.
She’s going to do some home renovations with the found funds, take a trip to the Maritimes to visit with family, and plans to buy her sister a new car as well as one for herself.
Big wins:
In 2021, lottery players in BC redeemed more than $99 million in winnings from Lotto 6/49. As well, $42 million in winnings has been produced from the Extra. The Extra is available with Daily Grand, Lotto 6/49, Lotto Max, and BC/49.
Each 6/49 draw includes a guaranteed prize draw of $1 million. The draws are on Wednesdays and Saturdays after 7:30 pm (Pacific).
Lottery revenues contribute to government revenues that pay for health care, education and community supports.
