Winning ticket discovery!
Jason Ernst was sitting in his truck the day after purchasing a Keno ticket, when he decided to check the ticket using the BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC) Lotto! app.
Ernst said when he saw the win amount, he couldn’t believe it, and had to check the ticket two more times.
The Victoria man won exactly $60,036 using his own lucky set of numbers, after buying his ticket at the Fairway Market grocery store on Jacklin Road (in the Westshore Town Centre) in Langford.
Regarding his win, Ernst said, “It feels really good and surreal…it’s just a great feeling to be a winner!”, as quoted by BCLC earlier this week.
BCLC generated over $417 million in lottery and e-gaming sales in 2020. Net gambling revenues in BC (casino, community gaming, lottery and e-sports) were over $1.3 billion in 2020.
