The Riverside Cannabis outlet in Sooke opened just over one year ago, on August 1, 2019.

Popular right from day one, they now head into year two with some new hours: 9 am to 10 pm Thursday to Saturday, and 9 am to 9 pm Sunday to Wednesday.

Store location and menu:

The store at 6309 Sooke Road (just west of the Sooke River Bridge) is following COVID-19 safety procedures.

Due to COVID-19, they prefer to take payments by debit and credit instead of cash. Online ordering is also available.

Their menu is now on-line at Leafly.ca

COVID protocols:

“We encourage our customers to wear masks and use our hand sanitizer provided just inside the door,” said store co-owner Lori Rittaler.

“We are limiting the amount of customers in the store to three people at a time not including staff,” she says.

That’s all part of maintaining physical distancing of course, in accordance with public health guidelines and orders during the pandemic.

Riverside Cannabis asks people to not enter the store if they have been ill or if they or someone they have been in contact with has traveled outside of Canada within the last 14 days.

“Our staff are regularly cleaning the store paying special attention to high contact surfaces like door knobs and debit machines.”

The Riverside Cannabis outlet is owned by the Rittaller family, long-time of Sooke. Lori Rittaler is the store manager.

The two stores are distinctly separate, on the same property at 6309 Sooke Road (Highway 14). Lots of parking.
