Pre-construction test pits being done in the 2700-block of Leigh Road will slow traffic down a bit on Tuesday January 3 and Wednesday January 4.
There will be single-lane alternating traffic on those two days (and also Friday January 6), between 8 am and 5 pm.
Leigh Road has become a busy thoroughfare in Langford, running between Highway 1 (Trans Canada Highway) and Langford Parkway.
Blasting work and other roadwork has been going on along Leigh Road for the last couple of months.
The test pits will be used for underground access to see what type of soil is in the ground, for a proposed watermain, says City of Langford Engineer Michelle Mahovlich.
Traffic control personnel will be on site directing traffic. Delays may be expected, says City of Langford Engineering.
