Paving and road repairs on Happy Valley Road have been scheduled for Monday December 19. From 8:30 am to 3 pm.
However, there is snow in the Langford area forecast for Sunday and Monday, in which case the work would be delayed, says Michelle Mahovlich, City of Langford Director of Engineering and Public Works.
Busy road in Langford:
Happy Valley Road is a heavily-travelled roadway that starts at Sooke Road in a commercial and residential area of Langford and ends 3.5 km away at Metchosin Road in the neighbouring municipality of Metchosin.
The repair work scheduled for Monday will be at the starting point at Sooke Road to the furthest point that is still within Langford, i.e. Wild Ridge Way (beyond Wild Ridge is within Metchosin).
If the scheduled road repairs do go ahead on Monday, there will be intermittent single-lane alternating traffic.
Traffic control personnel will be on site directing traffic. Delays may be expected, says City of Langford Engineering.
Expect traffic delays.
Traffic control personnel will be on site.
