A packed stadium saw attendance of 35,439 who seemed to enjoy the high-energy the Canadian Football League (CFL) half-time show carried entirely by country singer-songwriter Keith Urban with about four of his better known tunes.

It was a hard-hitting game. Winnipeg made steady gains through each quarter: 8, 13, 6, 6. Hamilton held on with 3 and 3 in the first half, made 6 in the 3rd quarter, but zero in the last quarter.

The last time the Bombers made it to a victorious Grey Cup final was November 1990, when the team beat Edmonton 50-11 in Vancouver, BC.
