This morning Monday March 2, shortly after 4 am, West Shore RCMP responded to a workplace incident involving the death of an employee at Sysco Victoria Inc. located at 2881 Amy Road in Langford.

Initial reports indicate that a 25-year-old man was hit by a semi tractor trailer at this location and succumbed to his injuries.

Police are in the very early stages of this investigation. The identity of the deceased will not be released at this time, says West Shore RCMP Media Relations Officer Cst Nancy Saggar.

“The West Shore RCMP remains on scene and continues their investigation alongside WorkSafe BC and the BC Coroners Service. As this investigation is ongoing we are unable to share additional details at this time,” it was stated in the RCMP release today.
