Trudeau will reportedly be accompanied on the call by Canada’s Chief Medical Officer Dr Theresa Tam, of the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC).
COVID-19 has impacted everyday life all over the globe, including youth, who can longer go to school, visit friends, or have sleepovers. Surfaces of computers, phones, books and toys can carry the live coronavirus for variable lengths of time; to be on the safe side, those surfaces should be wiped down with soap and water, hand santizer or disinfectant wipes.
Family dynamics are being experienced in confined close quarters to a degree not experienced by most families in a society where many people have a busy life outside of the home.
Dr Tam has been appearing in a series of public health announcements in the past week regarding hand washing, staying home and physical distancing — all in an effort to maintain strong public awareness about these mitigation measures against the spread of COVID-19.
Sunday’s on-air event will follow Trudeau’s daily live media teleconferences which he does daily at 8:15 am Pacific Time.
Also on Sunday April 5, Queen Elizabeth will deliver an address about the COVID-19 pandemic, set for 12 noon Pacific Time. Her addresses are usually on TV and as a livestream online. This one she pre-taped from Balmoral Castle in Windsor where she has been since mid-March after the pandemic was declared by the World Health Organization.
