As a traffic alert for west shore drivers, cyclists & pedestrians, there will be major traffic delays on Monday April 26 through Friday April 30 (between Island Highway and West Park Lane).

There will be single lane alternating traffic during work on TELUS poles by Aecon. 8 am to 4 pm.

The Town of View Royal says to expect major delays. And they recommend that you use an alternate route (that would be Highway 1 to get to downtown Victoria).

Six Mile Road, Island Highway, Town of View Royal
The last week of April 2021 (April 26 to 30) there will be single lane alternating traffic on Six Mile Road in View Royal.

This traffic interruption will have a short-term impact over two days for commuters and others travelling from Victoria/Esquimalt to Colwood/Langford and beyond, who use this popular route to and from areas of employment and commercial activity.

The large Victoria General Hospital is located on Helmcken Road a bit further over at Highway 1.

If you work from home, the interruption to commute is unaffected! 🙂
