Premier John Horgan has released the following statement in honour of Easter:

“Christians in British Columbia and around the world will celebrate Easter this weekend.

“These are extraordinary times, and Easter celebrations will look different. Instead of gathering in churches or for large family dinners, people will find ways to observe Easter while also protecting their health and the health of those close to them.

“Easter reminds us of the values of love and self-sacrifice as exemplified by the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Such values help sustain us through challenging times.

“Easter is a time of hope and joy for Christians. To all those British Columbians celebrating Easter this weekend, I wish you a blessed, peaceful and safe holiday.”
