Supporting people experiencing homelessness in Vancouver and Victoria during the COVID-19 state of provincial emergency is the topic of a media announcement coming up on Saturday morning April 25 at 10 am.

Making the joint announcement will be three BC Ministers: Minister of Public Safety and Attorney General Mike Farnworth, Minister for Social Development and Poverty Reduction Shane Simpson, and Minister of Mental Health and Addictions Judy Darcy.

The livestream will be available on the BC Government’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/BCProvincialGovernment/and on Twitter: https://twitter.com/BCGovNews?s=20

This is likely to be a significant announcement, as prior to the announcement media will have been given a detailed technical briefing by BC Housing, municipal representatives, public health officials and other provincial representatives.
