Two NDP Premiers took to a microphone in Vancouver today to talk about the reproductive health care provided in BC.

BC Premier David Eby was joined by Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew, together with Dr Cailey Lynch.

This pro-NDP campaign rally comes on the same day that BC Health Minister Adrian Dix announced together with federal Health Minister Mark Holland that a Memorandium of Understanding has been signed about providing free contraceptive care in BC.

BC has already been providing free contraception for about a year, but today’s announcement now also includes hormone therapy costs for peri-menopausal women.

Dr Lynch outlined how the cost of IUD’s are covered for reproductive care, thanks to the BC government’s now funding of that service. Herself now a mother of three children, Lynch referred to having a baby as “a life bombshell”.
