BC Premier John Horgan has issued a statement for BC Family Day 2022, which is today Monday February 21.

There was snowfall in the Greater Victoria area this morning, but the Premier’s hopeful statement leads about springtime.

Family Day is a statutory holiday in BC, lining up with most provinces across the country to have a long weekend in February.

“As spring beckons, we can take an opportunity to reflect on the importance of family.

“By following public health guidelines and by getting vaccinated, we can once again safely gather with friends and family. We have done the right thing and the reward is being able to return to doing what we enjoy with the people closest to us.

“By taking care of one another and being mindful of the most vulnerable amongst us, we will all enjoy brighter days ahead.

“From my family to yours, I wish you a relaxing and peaceful Family Day.” ~ Premier John Horgan
