The downtown Victoria Urgent and Primary Care Centre will be closed to in-person visits on Dec 17 due to a planned BC Hydro power outage (for system upgrade).
This information was provided by Island Health today in a news release.
Clinic staff will be redeployed to other UPCCs for the day on Tuesday, says Island Health.
The downtown UPCC at 1107 Pandora Avenue in downtown Victoria will resume normal operations on Wednesday Dec 18, says Island Health.
Regular hours are 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.
Given the location of that UPCC, most of the patients are likely from the local area including those who are homeless.
