Saturday, September 29 ~ The 39th Annual GoodLife Fitness Victoria Marathon is next weekend, on Sunday October 7.

The event is still in need of volunteers to fill a variety of areas.

Sixteen hundred (1,600) volunteers in total are needed annually to ensure the event runs smoothly and efficiently, say organizers.
The Race Weekend includes the Race Expo from Friday October 5 to Sunday October 7, as well as race day. Positions include areas on the course, finish line, aid stations, recovery zone, and for the Thrifty Foods Kids Run.

“We are looking for teams of people, including students and individuals to play a part of the event on Race Day. If sport or school teams are trying to fundraise, we encourage them to contact us,” says Cathy Noel, General Manager. “We couldn’t host this event without the incredible support of a volunteer crew of 1,600 strong.”

Interested individuals can register online at https://www.runvictoriamarathon.com/volunteer/ or email: volunteer@runvictoriamarathon.com

Race registration is going well for the Marathon, Half Marathon, 8K Road Race and the Thrifty Foods Kids Run.

As of September 24, the race caps had not been reached, but are getting close. Registration still open: https://www.runvictoriamarathon.com/registration/
