Expect traffic delays on Peatt Road, Larkhall Road and Claude Road in Langford during October 4 to 25.
This is for BC Hydro underground extension work, which requires boulevard and lane closure.
Work will be done during the hours of 7 am to 3 pm during which time there will be single-lane traffic.
“Work will be separate into multiple phases to minimize the traffic disruption,” says City of Langford Engineering in a traffic advisory.
Schedule:
Work will commence on Peatt Road, then continuing east onto Larkhill Road and completing on the north end of Claude Road.
While primarily a residential area, the Langford #1 Fire Hall is on Peatt Road and there is heavy local commuter traffic including for a local elementary school and retail services on nearby Goldstream Avenue.
Peatt Road is used as access at Veterans Memorial Parkway to get to Highway 1 (Millstream Interchange).
On-site traffic control:
Drivers are to follow signage within the construction zone. East side pedestrian access on Peatt Road and the south access on Larkhall Road will be closed.
Traffic control will be on-site directing traffic and assisting pedestrians.
Delays may be expected, says Langford Engineering. They ask that motorists be aware and they apologize for the inconvenience.
