Mary P Brooke ~ West Shore Voice News
Recently re-elected for a second term as the Member of Parliament for Cowichan-Malahat-Langford, Alistair MacGregor, MP is holding two free public holiday events in the community — one on each side of the large west shore area riding.
> Cowichan Holiday Party 2019 – Saturday December 14 at Duncan United Church, from 3 to 5 pm, 246 Ingram St, Duncan. Refreshments. Wheelchair accessible, free parking.
> Langford Holiday Party 2019 – Sunday December 15 at Luxton Hall, from 1 to 3 pm, 1040 Luxton Ave. Refreshments. Wheelchair accessible, free parking.
To RSVP for either event, email to Alistair.MacGregor.C1F@parl.gc.ca or call 1-866-609-9998. The events are open to the full community.
Alistair MacGregor says that his local focus in this new term includes taking action on anchorages, supporting the creation of an island commuter rail, fighting for affordable housing here in the riding, and working for better federal resources towards local harm reduction services that are so critical in the opioid crisis.
