Use of Painter Trail in Colwood will be occasionally interrupted during the installation of underground utilities during January, February and March this year.
The impacted trail area runs from Dressler Road to Royal Bay.
The underground utility installation is being done by Northridge Excavating Ltd. Any need to contact the contractor may be directed to 250-479-4373.
Pedestrians and cyclists may experience some delays. Applegate Trail will be closed as well.
Traffic control signage and detours will be in place around the worksite. Delays may be expected. Colwood public works advises that pedestrians use extra caution and follow all signage and traffic control personnel instructions.
The City of Colwood is growing and expanding in many ways, with a lot of road improvements and infrastructure installments going on around development of housing and commercial properties.
