The City of Langford hosted their Ideas Fair today March 15.
It was a chance for Langford residents to mingle with city staff, mayor and council, and subject matter experts while having direct input as to how the city is growing.

The off-and-on-again rain didn’t seem to dampen participant enthusiasm for the three-hour mid-day event.
At least 166 people attended, including bringing children along.

There were refreshments and a children’s play area.

The casual walk-about Ideas Fair is a way for residents, businesses and organizations to have input on a range of actions, services and policies in the fast-growing municipality.

Master plans:
The focus for today’s input was the Transportation Master Plan, Active Transportation Master Plan, and Parks Master Plan.

There was also an info table for the Westshore Parks and Recreation Facilities Master Plan (with regional scope for the five west shore municipalities that contribute to that recreation — Langford, Colwood, View Royal, Metchosin and Highlands).
