Friday, October 5 ~ SOOKE. Two walks in the park.
This might be a good way to walk-off some of those Thanksgiving weekend calories!
Next weekend, October 13 and 14, CRD Regional Parks is offering two free walks at Sooke Potholes Regional Park.
On Saturday, October 13 the Riverside Guided Walk is from 10am to 12pm for adults (age 18+), with a CRD regional parks naturalist. Bring a snack, water, and wear sturdy footwear. There is no fee to participate but pre-registration is required by October 10, as space is limited.
Then on Sunday, October 14 there will be a Salmon Story Guided Walk for ages 5+, from 1 pm to 2:30 pm. The journey a salmon takes is an amazing one: their story is filled with adventure, wonder, and danger. Join a CRD Regional Parks naturalist to walk along the river learning about the salmon’s story and the challenges they face. Meet at CRD Parking Lot #2.
For all CRD outdoor walking events, they ask that you leave pets at home. More: www.crd.bc.ca/parks-events
