Today the professional soccer Canadian Premier League (CPL) announced their 2021 Award Nominees for their coveted individual awards that the Clubs’ Players and Head Coach.
The Langford-based Pacific FC team is gearing up for their match tomorrow Sunday December 5, against Forge FC in the Canadian Premier League (CPL) third-season finals [Pacific FC vs Forge FC – tickets or watch online].
Final presentation of awards will include nominees’ performance in the December 5 game.
Awards ceremony:
The Golden Boot Winner will be Announced at the conclusion of the 2021 Canadian Premier League Final on December 5.
All the other awards will be given on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 in Toronto at the 2021 Canadian Premier League Awards Ceremony.
“We are thrilled to announce and congratulate our CPL Award nominees for the 2021 season. Delivering a full season was a priority for the League this year and we are extremely pleased that we were able to do so,” said David Clanachan, Commissioner, Canadian Premier League.
Award style:
The Awards – each a unique piece of Inuit Art – are quintessentially Canadian, says CPL. Every carving is made by a talented artist from Kinngait (Cape Dorset), Nunavut, a small hamlet just off Baffin Island in Canada’s North, renowned as the epicentre of Inuit art.
“These beautiful awards reflect the hard work, tenacity and incredible talent that was showcased on the pitch by all our players and coaches this season. We congratulate and thank all of them for an incredible season,” said Clanachan.
Selecting nominees:
The winners will be selected in a poll of three nominees in each category by a judging panel comprised of media writers and reporters from across Canada.
All awards consider the nominees’ performance for the full Canadian Premier League 2021 season from June 26 to December 5, 2021.
