The Island Equipment Operators Association IEOA Lighted Truck Convoy and Food Drive 2021 on Saturday evening December 4, started at 5:45 from the breakwater in Victoria heading out to the West Shore.

The trucks lit up with Christmas lights and decorations began at Ogden Point, traveled through Oak Bay in to downtown Victoria, then along Douglas Street/Hwy1, taking the Burnside exit into View Royal, then through Colwood, Langford and ending up at Motorsports Park in Langford.

This is the parade’s 23rd year, following pretty much the same route.

The truck parade is importantly about gathering donated food for the food banks. It’s also an industry-bolstering event for the truckers themselves while being a festive outdoor activity for families and the community.

Photos shown here were taken on Island Highway in Colwood. This year there were 80 trucks traveling on display in the cold night air. But it wasn’t raining!

Some people had portable fires along the way, to help stay warm. Temperatures fell below zero overnight.
