Tonight a rugby game at Westhills Stadium will usher in the month of March.
The Men’s 15s game seeing Rugby Canada’s team against Argentina’s roster starts at 7pm, live on TSN 5. Gates open at 6 pm for this next game in the Americas Rugby Championships (ARC), tickets available at the stadium at 6pm, as well as anytime online at https://rugby.ca/en/tickets
Last Friday night it was Canada vs Chile on a cold winter’s night, with a 56-0 win for Canada. Canada’s team captain again tonight is Lucas Rumball (#7) and the Argentina team captain is Lautoro Bavaro (#7). The weather is a bit more seasonal this evening, with no wind or precipitation.
About 500 local fans showed up and cheered both teams last weekend. After that game, Canada’s wing Kainoa Lloyd, said Canada’s team had a lot of home field advantage. “Being here in front of our crowd, we always play well in Langford.”
Argentina XV currently lead the standings in the ARC. Canada has two matches left in the ARC, tonight against Argentina XV (March 1) and then in Seattle against the USA team (March 8).
