The West Shore RCMP detachment is currently investigating after receiving a report of a break and enter at an industry compound located in the 2100-block of Millstream Road in Langford.
The media release was issued on January 12, saying that police were notified on January 6, 2022 of a theft of equipment and tools at the Island Crushing Ltd. location.
RCMP says the suspects used an on-site bobcat to damage a gate and load a welding machine into a vehicle.
Island Crushing delivers a range of rock products to inter-company branches and third-party customers.
Since the break-in, the West Shore RCMP Crime Reduction Unit has obtained video surveillance from a nearby business (McDonalds in Langford) which captured the suspect vehicle and a male suspect.
The investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or anonymously at Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
