Running as the incumbent NDP candidate in Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke, Randall Garrison will hold his official office opening on Saturday September 14 at 3 pm.
Garrison’s campaign office for this 40-day federal campaign is at 829-C Admirals Road in Esquimalt, near the dock yards. The election date is Monday, October 21.
Garrison has served as the Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke Member of Parliament for two terms (2011-2015, 2015-2018). He has become deeply acquainted with the issues of the Sooke area in particular, and also the Department of National Defence issues as affect residents who live and work in Esquimalt.
His constituency office has been located for the past few years in the Tillicum area of Saanich.
The large riding with a population of about 120,000 includes includes Esquimalt, Colwood, the north-Quadra/Tillicum area of Saanich, Metchosin, Sooke and Juan de Fuca up to Jordan River.
The riding name was renewed ahead of the 2015 to include Sooke in the name, due to the persistence of Garrison in that effort.
