The public may now register for tickets to attend the December 15 provincial state memorial for former premier John Horgan.
The event is being held at The Q Centre, 1767 Island Highway, Colwood (down the hill from the Westshore Parks and Recreation facility), as first announced on December 3.
Two tickets per person:
Two admission tickets per person, but seating is limited. The venue can hold 2,450 to 3,000 people across all seating options, depending on the setup.
The memorial was announced last week on December 3. Today’s update is about how to register for the tickets.
How to register:
Admission tickets are available through a ticket registration portal online at https://tickets.victoriashamrocks.com
Event on the day:
Tickets will not be available at the door. Public entry will be through the main lobby entrance. Doors will open at 11:45 am (Pacific Time), on Sunday December 15.
Registered ticket holders are asked to arrive at 11:30 am. Door open 11:45 am. All guests must be seated by 12:45 pm. The service will begin at 1 pm and is expected to end at about 2:30 pm.
Limited parking:
Parking near the Q Centre is limited. Attendees are encouraged to use public transit or park by the library and walk to the arena.
Livestream:

Donations:
In lieu of flowers, at the request of the family people are asked to consider making a donation to the Goldstream Food Bank or to a food bank of your choice.
Book of Condolences:
A book of condolences is available online and will be available to sign until Monday, December 16, 2024.
