Due to the recent inclement weather, the Port Renfrew Water System is experiencing extremely low water pressure, says the Capital Regional District (CRD).
Water Operators are actively trying to isolate where leaks may be coming from in the system. To aid in determining where leaks may be coming from, the CRD is asking residents to conserve water and avoid any non-essential water use such as doing dishes and laundry at this time.
This alert will be updated as more information becomes available.
To assist with leak detection, if you see any water flowing from your property, please call the CRD’s emergency line at 1.855.822.4426.
As a precaution, residents serviced by the Port Renfrew Water System are advised to prepare for a water outage as water pressure is steadily decreasing due to a suspected leak in the distribution system.
