The weekly Luxton Summer Night Market in Langford is a relaxing opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while browsing the offerings of a range of local and island-based vendors.
About 25 vendors booths and a couple of food trucks were set up around the grounds this first evening of the market that runs on Wednesday evenings 5:30 to 8:30 pm through July and August.
Located alongside Luxton Hall on Marwood Avenue, it’s an easy-to-find location between Luxton Road and Happy Valley Road. Lots of parking.
Vendors offered the usual range of summer market fare including arts, crafts, clothing, sweets, and intuitive services. Tonight there was a dance and fitness demonstration in the last half hour.
While the presentation is simple, some of these vendors have their small businesses quite well organized, including branded packaging and accepting credit cards using mobile POS.
