Traffic delays will continue for a few more days this week along Jenkins Road in the Glen Lake area of Langford.
That’s as sewer extension work continues along Jenkins between Glen Lake Road, including in front of the Sarah Beckett Memorial Park which is behind Starlight Stadium.
Single-lane traffic delays can be expected from 7 am to 5 pm.
This work has been happening since mid-August. A detour has been available, though for anyone using Jenkins to get into Westhills it’s probably faster to enter from Happy Valley Road on the south or Langford Lake Road on the north.
Traffic control will be on-site directing traffic. Delays may be expected, says Langford Engineering. They ask that motorists be aware and they apologize for the inconvenience.
Other traffic interruptions to Sept 26:
From today through to Thursday September 26 there will be other traffic delays around Langford during BC Hydro infrastructure installation at various locations including Rex Road, Jacklin Road, Goldstream Avenue, Bear Mountain Parkway.
