Getting to Costco, anytime! That was the lead to the City of Langford’s recent traffic advisory for motorists heading to the large store in Langford.
The info is about some less congested ways to get there.
Costco is a key commercial spot for families and businesses in the entire south Vancouver Island area. There are two entrance/exits to the large parking area. The store is nearly always busy.
Try Exits 15 & 16:
The overall recommendation is that the Leigh Road Interchange Exit #16 or the McCallum Road Exit #15 are good options to using the Millstream Exit #14.
All of these options avoid Veterans Memorial Parkway north of Goldstream and the Millstream Exit #14 which can see congestion at peak travel times:
- If you’re travelling from Greater Victoria on Hwy 1, go past Millstream Exit #14 to the very next McCallum Exit #15, turn right; McCallum Road takes you directly to the upper Costco driveway.
- If you’re travelling from the Malahat outh, use Leigh Road Exit #16, turn left at the top of the off-ramp, and follow the signs to McCallum Road and the upper Costo driveway.
- If you’re travelling from Sooke, turn left onto the West Shore Parkway, follow the roundabout over to Hwy 1, then use Leigh Road Exit #16.
