Colwood has a kids’ colouring contest going on for this stay-at-home Easter weekend during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Parents can find the colouring sheet to download on the city’s Easter colour contest page.
Colourful creations can be sent as attachments by email to the City of Colwood for a chance to win a basket full of Easter goodies!
One contest winner will be chosen from each of the following age categories: under 2 years, 3-4 years, 5-6 years and 7+ years. Coloring sheet must be submitted no later than midnight on Monday, April 5, 2021. Winners will be selected and contacted on Tuesday, April 6, 2021
Easter Egg Hunt – around town:
There is also a virtual Easter Egg Hunt online. which runs from Saturday April 3 through Monday April 5 at 8 pm. There’s a prize for that too.
It’s a bit more work than the colouring contest:
- follow the map to find where the five eggs are located in Colwood
- at each location, search for a printed egg (hint: they will look like the egg on this web page)
- scan the QR code with your cell phone
- enter your details for one entry to win!
In pre-COVID years the municipality has sponsored outdoor events for families on the Easter Long Weekend, which drew big crowds.
The Colwood Easter weekend events were cancelled in 2020 as well (around the beginning of that strange ‘new world’ of the first wave of the pandemic).
