West Shore Parks & Recreation has awarded the consulting contract for Juan de Fuca arena improvement to Carscadden Stokes McDonald Architects Inc to provide architectural planning, design and consulting services.
Polar Engineering has already provided consulting services to WSPR by developing an energy recovery report and re-design in preparation for the repairs to the thermal cables underneath the arena floor.
In addition to heating system repairs, the renovation will include replacement of the ice slab and dasher boards, relocation of the snow pit and players’ benches, and upgrades to the stand seating.
Carscadden is currently working on the schematic design drawings and foresees that renovations will be completed by March 2021.
