A steady stream of excited customers wove their way through the newly renovated Monk Office & Art store at 905 Fort Street today November 5.
The official grand opening was held on November 1.
A merged enterprise:
That location is the long-time Fort and Quadra location of the previous Island Blue art store, where Monk Office recently relocated their retail store from Blanshard Street a few blocks away.
At the beginning of this year, Monk Office announced their purchase of the long-time Island Blue Art & Framing store.
Ocean & Jack on-site:
Today’s event featured a discount coupon wind tunnel, and two on-air personalities in meet-the-public mode: Mira Laurence (who joined AJ as co-host of the Ocean 98.5 Morning Show in October) and Darren Worts who joined the Jack 103.1 station in April.
20% off:
Store manager Bradley Sharp was on hand helping show people around the store.
Today there was a 20% off sale as part of the store reopening celebration.
Monk Office offers business supplies, furniture, technology, and custom office interiors. The art supply side is featured at the 905 Fort Street location.
Earlier in the day Monk Office CEO Caitlin McKenzie was at the store to share in the excitement.
The day ran from 10 am to 3 pm. There were prizes and giveaways.
Regular store hours:
The Monk Office & Art store at 905 Fort Street is opening Monday-Friday 9:30 am to 5 pm, Saturday 10 am to 5 pm, closed on Sundays.
