On this weekend ahead of Christmas, Canada Post says that all parcels held in their system during the postal workers strike are now “flowing through the network”.
As well, new commercial volumes for business customers are being accepted.
Operations are quickly ramping up, says Canada Post.
Canada Post is working to “clear existing mail, parcels and returns from post offices and retail outlets so that they have more capacity to accept new items”, it was stated in a release to business customers on Friday evening, December 20.
Despite this progress, most parcels mailed by customers with the hope of items arriving by Tuesday December 24 are in most cases behind schedule.
Canada Post workers were back on the job yesterday, December 17, after being on strike for a month (November 15 to December 16).
