Have a face mask with you if you’re going to travel on a BC Ferries vessel, and be prepared to use it.
That’s the new directive from BC Ferries during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic as they follow directive and guidance of Transport Canada.
The mask must cover face and nose when in situations where separation of two metres between people cannot be maintained.
This directive goes into effect June 15 for routes longer than 30 minutes. It applies to all passengers over the age of two. The directive includes all passengers travelling in a vehicle.
BC Ferries will also continue screening all customers for COVID-19 symptoms and restrict travel to any customer who does not meet the screening requirements.
