If Monday is your regular garbage pickup day by Alpine, note that their trucks will start moving starting around 9 am in the morning on Monday February 11.
That’s a bit of a late start, but road conditions in the wake of heavy snowfall this evening Sunday February 10, is the reason for the delay.
They will wait until it stops snowing heavily, and move out the large trucks as the weather improves.
Snow and power outages:
February 10 – Malahat closed 2.5 hours on Sunday evening during heavy snowfall so roads can be cleared
February 9 – Wind warning Saturday and more snow expected Sunday
