COLWOOD – Tues Oct 2 at Church of the Advent, 510 Mount View Ave, 6 pm to 8 pm.

SOOKE – Wed Oct 3 at EMCS, 6218 Sooke Rd (mayoralty candidates forum). 7 to 9 pm. Hosted by Transition Sooke.

LANGFORD – Tues Oct 9 at Langford Legion, candidates forum, 5:45-9:00 pm. Hosted by West Shore Chamber of Commerce.[This event was previously scheduled for Oct 4]

SOOKE Thurs Oct 11. All Candidates meeting for *council* candidates, 7 pm at the Prestige hotel. Hosted by Sooke Region Chamber.

SD62 – All Candidates Forum by SPEAC (parent District PAC), date tba. This might be done online.

Mon Oct 1. BC Legislative Assembly resumes.

 

October 1. The new road ‘Division Avenue’ that runs through the Belmont Market/Residences in Langford will be renamed ‘Reunion Avenue’ [City of Langford Engineering]. More about this on its own page

 

Tues Oct 2. TRAFFIC INFO. Millstream Road, north of overpass. Walkway paving. 7 am to 3 pm. The lane next to the curb will be closed during this work. Expect some traffic delays. www.langford.ca

 

Tuesday Oct 2. Colwood All Candidates Forum at Church of the Advent, 510 Mount View Ave. Doors open 6 pm, meet and greet candidates 6 to 6:30 pm, Forum 6:30 to 8 pm.

 

Wed. October 3. Sooke Mayoralty Candidates Forum. Three candidates: Maja Tait (incumbent), Kevin Pearson, and Mick Rhodes. EMCS Community Theatre (in the Edward Milne Community School), 6218 Sooke Road, Sooke. Open to the public. 7 to 9 pm.  Hosted by Transition Sooke.  Moderators will be Transition Sooke co-chairs Bernie Klassen and Michael Tacon along with former board members Yvonne Court and Mark Ziegler. Time at the end of the evening for questions from the audience.
