Pharmacists are on site at all London Drugs stores that had to close a week ago due to a cybersecurity incident.
Today there is a reminder that new prescriptions cannot yet be filled.
“As London Drugs has gradually re-opened core services in 40 stores across Western Canada, we want to alert pharmacy customers that due to connectivity issues the pharmacy will not be able to fill new prescriptions at this time,” the retailer said in social media around 10:30 am this morning.
Two stores now open in Greater Victoria:
Two stores are now open in Greater Victoria — at 911 Yates Street in downtown Victoria and in the TIllicum Mall in Saanich.
The list of London Drugs stores now fully operational has been updated to 40 stores.
There are 79 stores (previously reported by most media as 80 stores) in the entire chain across four western provinces: BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
What’s open in all stores:
As posted by London Drugs on May 6:
• London Drugs Pharmacists are on-site at all store locations during normal store pharmacy hours to assist with emergency refill prescriptions and other urgent care. Due to connectivity issues, the pharmacy will not be able to fill new prescriptions currently.
• Canada Post locations within stores are accessible.
• The Insurance Services Call Centre is open and helping customers with insurance needs and Autoplan transactions.
• Optical locations are expected to be open by the end of the day, May 6.
