There will be some paving on two high-traffic portions of Veterans Memorial Parkway today Monday March 27 through Wednesday March 29, overnight 7 pm to 5 am:

  • between Goldstream and Hoffman
  • between Langford Pkwy and Kelly Rd

Veterans Memorial Parkways is a major thoroughfare in Langford, for both residential and commercial traffic, including being a connector between Highway 14 (Sooke Road) and Highway 1 (Trans Canada Highway).

On those three evenings/nights/early mornings, motorists may expect some traffic delays due to lane closures.

The paving involves repairs are being done in the road right-of-ways, says City of Langford Engineering.

Traffic control will be on-site directing vehicle flow, says City of Langford Engineering.

That route is heavily travelled by residents, commuters and shoppers in one of Langford’s busiest areas. This is spring break, with less traffic on the roads during the day, so it’s interesting that this paving is being done at night.
