People in the west shore region of Greater Victoria have an opportunity to shape the new plans for the West Shore Parks and Recreation facilities.

WSPR is located in Colwood, but five municipalities pay into the operations: Langford, Colwood, View Royal, Metchosin and Highlands.

Those five municipalities own the WSPR facilities and manage the operations through oversight by the West Shore Parks and Recreation Society.

Over time, there have been changes and an evolution of what recreational activities people like to do and when they are available to participate in facility offerings and programs. Overall, the population is aging but there is still a strong need for children and families to have a range of activities.

Facilities Master Plan public input:

WSPR is developing their Facilities Master Plan and invites public input from residents and community groups in Langford, Colwood, View Royal, Metchosin, and Highlands.
