It’s a smoky-sky Saturday, but the Island Health mobile COVID-19 immunization van is in Langford today, 11 am to 4 pm.
It’s all setup in the parking lot at the Canadian Tire location at 855 Langford Parkway. Staff can administer you a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, or even a second dose (if it’s been 28 days since your first dose).
No appointment needed:
Similar to having taken advantage of ‘Walk-in Wednesday’ at larger clinics last week, young adults in particular may find this convenient, especially if they are heading back to university or college on-campus next month. There is no appointment needed at the Vax Van.
This service might also be available tomorrow, Sunday August 15. Check out the Island Health Van Vax locations.
Today’s weather:
The smoky air is due to incoming wildfire smoke from other regions. There are no wildfires in the Greater Victoria area.
It’s also hot out there. Southern Vancouver Island is now on the second-last day of a forecasted heat wave that started Wednesday August 11 and is expected to wrap up tomorrow.
