On this BC Day long weekend the City of Langford has issued a traffic advisory reminding drivers of the likely congestion on Highway 1 from in-town at Veterans Memorial Parkway out along the Malahat stretch through Goldstream Provincial Park.
BC Day long weekend usually inspires people to travel or get away, including from the Greater Victoria area to places upisland, starting today Friday August 2 and returning on Monday August 5.
Drive BC has a webcam showing northbound traffic on Highway 1 at West Shore Parkway.
Motorists are advised to be aware of possible delays in traffic flow during the long weekend.
