The West Shore RCMP Community & Indigenous Policing Unit is excited to be back in the parks this summer, connecting with youth and families across the West Shore.
With freezies, stickers, RCMP swag, and fun games officers will be visiting local parks throughout July and August this summer of 2025.
Tuesdays at JDF Skate Park:
West Shore RCMP officers will be at the Juan De Fuca Skate Park every Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Thursdays at local parks:
West Shore RCMP officers will be rotating through other local parks and some SD62 school grounds on Thursdays.
Community members are encouraged to drop by, say hello, and join in the summer fun, say West Shore RCMP in a news release today.

- July 10 – Wishart Elementary School (3310 Wishart Rd, Colwood)
- July 17 – Twinflower Park (Millstream Rd, Highlands)
- July 24 – View Royal Park (60 Pheasant Lane, View Royal)
- July 31 – Metchosin Elementary School (4495 Happy Valley Rd, Metchosin)
- August 7 – Willway Elementary School (2939 Mt Wells Dr, Langford)
- August 14 – John Stubbs Memorial School (301 Zealous Crescent, Colwood)
- August 21 – Centennial Park (2805 Carlow Rd, Langford)
Minister’s comment on public safety:
“It is the job of police to build trust in the community,” said Minister of Public Safety Garry Begg today during a news announcement on the anti-hate aspects of public safety.
