Several hundred people turned out for the annual Sooke Fall Fair Christmas Craft Fair at Sooke Community Hall today Saturday November 23.
The one-day event is an opportunity for supporting the Sooke Fall Fair which holds its largest event in early September each year to celebrate agriculture and home crafts.
This is the winter season for Sooke Fall Fair with Neil Poirier as president. He said it’s not as highly attended as the fall fair in September but gets a good turnout.
The usual range of seasonal crafts for sale like knitting, candles and salves, dolls and toys, pottery, ornaments and edible goods were also perked up with the offering of wood art and sassy magnets.
There were at least two vendors offering MLM (multi level marketing) products — makeup, and candles.
They call this fair “The Biggest Little Craft Fair” but it’s essentially the same size (in terms of number of vendor tables) as other craft fairs held in the hall. But only for one day.
