RCMP File #2021-3928
Police are seeking witnesses who may have seen a hit and run incident that happened at 5:20 pm on Wednesday March 3 at the busy intersection of Veterans Memorial Parkway & Goldstream Avenue in Langford.
West Shore RCMP say a woman walking across the intersection was struck by a “gold coloured 4-door” vehicle that was turning left from Goldstream to go southbound on Veterans Memorial Parkway.
The pedestrian was crossing the road eastbound when the vehicle conducting a left turn from Goldstream Avenue, heading southbound, collided with her.
“The vehicle stopped briefly but left the scene promptly after,” says Cst Alex Bérubé, Media Relations Officer, West Shore RCMP.
“There were many vehicles around that intersection at the time and investigators are looking to speak with any witnesses that could provide crucial information in this case.”
The condition of the pedestrian has not been stated by police.
The West Shore RCMP detachment at 698 Atkins Road in Langford can be reached at 250-391-3328.
