Thursday, October 18 ~ LANGFORD.

Roger Wade says he’s the youngest councillor on Langford city council. Having served three terms, he’s geared up for another. General Voting Day is October 20 and he’s run a robust campaign.

In the last 10 years he says he’s been a “small part of the transformation” of what Langford used to be to what it is today. At the Langford All Candidates forum on October 9 at Langford Legion he itemized some of the remarkable road infrastructure that has rolled out in recent years including Bear Mountain Parkway, Leigh Road, McCallum Road extension, Millstream Overpass – double lane, Langford Parkway, and West Shore Parkway (that one connecting from Sooke Road all the way over to Highway 1).

That ad was released in the October 12th West Shore Voice News (Langford section pages 4 to 6) and got good traction on social media this week.

“It has been a pleasure to have Roger serve on our council. He brings a common sense approach to decision-making and he is always thinking of the entire community’s interests,” said Stew Young.

“My vision for Langford in the next four years is to grow and prosper as a community while keeping taxes low and increasing jobs for our residents,” said Wade in the October 12 candidates feature in West Shore Voice News. “Keeping Langford affordable for all families is a priority of mine.”

“Langford’s economic growth has been very robust and I see it continuing to be that way by keeping housing affordable and taxes low,” says Wade. “Encouraging new business and existing businesses to expand will bring more jobs to our community. Langford is a very desirable city to live in.”
