  • “I want to congratulate Mark Carney on becoming leader of the Liberal party. Canadians are counting on their political leaders to fight for them in these challenging times. To stand up for a Canada where we take care of each other. We will disagree on many ideas, priorities and policies — but we should always stand united in protecting our country from the threat posed by Donald Trump.” ~ NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh
  • “Justin Trudeau took the Liberal Party from third place to a historic majority in 2015. He was victorius in all three elections he fought. His legacy as Canada’s Prime Minister incudes: guiding Canada through the Covid-19 pandemic; lasting poverty reduction through implementation of the Canada Child Benefit; fully and honestly engaging in a process of reconciliation with Indigenous peoples; making Canada a global champion on environmental protection and climate action; and implementing, after 40 years of discussion in this country, a national child care program. Thank you Justin for ten years of dedicated service during which you always put Canada first. Your leadership guided us through unprecedented challenges and inspired us to expect more from governments and from citizens. Wishing you and your family all the very best in your next chapter!” ~ Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources
  • “Thank you, Prime Minister, For choosing Canada every single day and making the fight against climate change and the protection of nature a top priority. Thanks to your leadership, our kids can look forward to a brighter, greener future.” ~ Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Environment and Climate Change
