BC Hydro shows an outage for an area of East Sooke affecting 111 customers — south of Pim Head Road, west of Sooke Road (Hwy 14), north of Parkheights Drive — where power has been off since 7:43 pm this evening, December 14. [See map]
As well, power is off for 573 customers in the Whiffin Spit area of Sooke (east of Sea Lion Way and southwest of Sooke Road), as first reported at 7:02 pm.
In total, as of 8:55 pm there are 3,075 BC Hydro customers without power in the South Vancouver Island area on this rainy winter night. Trees down across wires are some of the reasons given.
