Osteoarthritis (arthritis) is a condition of the joints where protective cartilage that cushions the ends of the bones wears down which results in chronic pain, impaired mobility and a reduced quality of life.
Arthritis can often be managed nutritionally. Some approaches include nutrient combinations that support cartilage and collagen formation (including Vitamins C & E along with calcium).
Bromelain (found naturally in pineapple) is an enzyme that helps reduce joint inflammation.
Glucosamine Sulfate and Glucosamine HCL are popular with arthritis sufferers who wish to avoid the side-effects of drugs. Clinical studies show that Glucosamine outperforms the anti-inflammatories Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen for pain relief.
